The Audiobook Project Tracker Is Now Available
Published April 2026
If you narrate audiobooks, you know the feeling: three projects on the go, two deadlines creeping up, and a vague sense that you're behind on at least one of them. You check your calendar, do some mental math, and hope for the best.
I spent years working that way. Eventually I built a spreadsheet to fix it. That spreadsheet became the backbone of how I manage every project, and after 190+ titles, I've refined it into something I think other narrators will find genuinely useful.
What It Does
The Audiobook Project Tracker is a spreadsheet that lets you plan, pace, and manage your audiobook productions from first chapter to final upload. You enter your chapters, word counts, and deadline, and it handles the rest: calculating estimated runtimes, tracking your progress, and telling you exactly how much work you need to do each day to stay on schedule.
The dashboard gives you a single view of all your active projects. At a glance you can see which ones are on track, which are falling behind, and where you need to focus your time this week.
The pace tracker is the part I use the most. It watches your deadline, counts your remaining chapters, and calculates how many chapters per day and hours per day you need to hit to finish on time. When it says ON TRACK, you can relax. When it says BEHIND, you know it's time to add a session.
There's also session efficiency tracking that helps you understand your real recording capacity, a reading speed calibrator that gets more accurate as you record, and a projects log that becomes your career database over time.
The User Guide
The bundle includes a comprehensive user guide that walks through everything: setting up a new project, understanding the formulas, calibrating your reading speed, using the dashboard, customization ideas, and tips for getting the most out of the tool. It's written for narrators, not spreadsheet experts.
Who It's For
Any narrator who juggles multiple projects, or even one project with a tight deadline. If you've ever misjudged how long a book would take, or lost track of where you were in a production, this is designed to solve exactly that. It works in both Excel and Google Sheets.
